GENERAL ASSIGNMENT EXPECTATIONS

There’s an old saying, “If something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well.”  Quality work is of not only high academic content but has a quality look as well.

The following is a list of my assignment expectations:
1. All assignments should be written neatly in pencil or black/blue pen ONLY.  I should be able to read your writing without too much difficulty.  Assignments completed using any other media (crayon, markers, etc.) will NOT be accepted.
 Final drafts of writing prompts/assignments should be written in black/blue pen or typed.
2. Corrections are done using a red pen or pencil.
3. Assignments should include a proper heading in the upper left hand corner of the page.   Worksheets need to include your FULL NAME.
4. Multi-page assignments should be stapled together unless otherwise directed.
5. Assignments should be turned in on-time and completed to the best of your ability.
6. Assignments turned in without a name will be placed within the “No Name” box and will not be scored.

HISTORY CLASS PROCEDURES

 Always come to class with a silent reading book.
 First thing, copy the Agenda and any Homework from the board into your planner.
     Take out whatever books/supplies you are going to need.
      If there is a Warm Up, do this in the first five minutes of class.
 Raise your hand to talk.
 Ask to go to the restroom during appropriate times, NOT when I’m in front of the class talking.
 Be prepared with your planner to do points the last five minutes of class.
      Any work not finished during class time is homework.  Take this time to write this           additional homework in your planner.
 If you were absent, check with me about missing work at an appropriate time (during independent work time, or at the end of class).
 If you finish work early and are awaiting directions, read silently.
 If you need something or have a question, please be sure to ask.
