RULES AND EXPECTATIONS
This classroom uses Make Your Day!
Our School Rule:
“No one has the right to interfere with the learning, safety, or well-being of others.”
The 5 P’s of North Middle School:
Prompt, Polite, Prepared, Positive, Participate
General Classroom Expectations:
1. Be in your seat on-time each day.
If you are tardy please enter quietly and take your seat as quickly as possible. Remember to take accountability in your points. Students who arrive late and disrupt the learning environment will be allowed to choose Steps.
Sharpen pencils, copy the day’s agenda and complete any entry tasks listed on the board.
2. Arrive to class with all your materials, ready to learn.

Pencil & Pencil Sharpener
Pens (Black and Red Correcting)
3-Ring Binder with paper and divider tabs (one for each class and one for homework.)
3 Composition books or one 3-subject spiral notebook
1 for Reading, Language Arts, and History
SSR book
Any assignments/homework due that day.
Textbooks
Water bottle (optional)
3. Listen attentively and follow all staff directions.
Side conversations are disruptive to student learning as well as my ability to teach.
Listen carefully to all directions to ensure that you have the opportunity to do your best.
4. Respect yourself, each other, personal, and school property.
Use classroom materials with care and return them neatly when done.
Students will be held responsible for damage they cause to school property or the property of another student.
Please do not write on desks or tables.
5. Do your best on each task you work on.
√ Turn in your work on time.
√ Ensure that each assignment consistently demonstrates your best understanding and effort.
