The 2007-2008 school year is quickly coming to its conclusion and when I look back, I realize that it has been a year of celebrations for myself and my two “peeps” who agreed to take on the task of technology integration to enhance student learning. For Sean and myself this has probably been a fairly easy task since we daily take on the task of working with digital visual arts. However, Jennifer has also stepped up to the task and has been instrumental in using her new equipment to make the math WASL more easily decipherable for her students with the use of her document camera and TI presenter calculator. When I go to the peer coaching workshops at ESD 189, I realize how fortunate I was in having two people volunteer for this who were willing to put in the time and effort to make the grant succeed. The icing on the cake is the fact that we have all done our part to “pay it forward” with our peers in our respective disciplines. We are not the experts, we just know to whom to address the questions. Next year, Melissa Webster will join our group and add geography, government and history into the mix.
